so you're a
Woohoo! Good for you!
YOU MIGHT HAVE KNOWN THIS ABOUT YOURSELF FOR AGES, OR IT COULD BE A TOTAL SURPRISE.
Either way, before we dig into the specifics of what this means for you and your business, I want to give you a quick overview of what an archetype actually is…
A Brand Archetype?
That’s when you consciously anchor your brand to one of these deeply embedded universal themes.
AND WHY (THE HECK) WOULDWE DO THAT?
Well, when your brand is in alignment with who you are as a person – i.e. your true archetype – your business starts generating momentum and attracting customers on a level that previously seemed unattainable.
It’s also a way to get your brand to do all the heavy lifting for you – so that you can show up as your true self, and start making the kind of impact (and income) you want, without feeling like you’re pushing a big-ass boulder uphill.
So, without further ado,
LET’S DIVE INTO HOW TO MAKE YOUR BRAND ARCHETYPE WORK FOR YOU…
You can have more than one archetype.
In fact, most of us do. You’ll usually have one main archetype that serves as your primary category, then some secondary and tertiary ones. We’ll be delving into your primary archetype today.
A few quick facts...
There are HEAPS of different archetypes.
More than 60, in fact.
But broadly speaking, they can be broken into 12 ‘families’ – Healer, Rebel, Alchemist, Innocent, Explorer, Everyman, Hero, Jester, Creator, Sage, Lover, and (of course) Queen.
HERE ARE SOME OTHER ARCHETYPES IN YOUR “family”
Your archetype does not define or limit you. Rather, it’s a lens that can help you better understand yourself and the people who are attracted to you and your work.
It can also help you avoid common challenges that may crop up, and help you feel less alone in your struggles.
What it means to be
- YOU’RE AT YOUR BEST WHEN:
You’re in charge and holding court. Taking responsibility for things is your superpower.
- YOU’RE DRIVEN BY:
The desire to lead, be in control, and create an empire.
- YOU LIKE TO:
Be respected, listened to, and you enjoy the trappings of your status.
- WATCH OUT FOR:
Being too authoritarian. Not listening to others. Getting too attached to control.

as a business owner
YOU’RE A SKILLED DELEGATOR.
You’re a realist. You know that you can’t be a Queen and do everything yourself. So you like the idea of recruiting others to your cause to bring your vision to life.
For some Queens, though they like to delegate, they also like to be in control, which can lead to micro-managing (a sure-fire way to frustrate your team).
YOU’RE BRILLIANT AT DRIVING A VISION.
You can see the final destination and all that needs to happen to get there.
You can deal with changing circumstances and moving parts (and you’re great to have around in a crisis).
You are skilled at motivating a team and leading them towards a destination.
YOU LIKE STRUCTURES, SYSTEMS AND ORGANISATION.
If there’s a smarter way to do something, you’ll find it.
TO TRULY STEP UP AS A QUEEN AND COME INTO YOUR OWN, YOU NEED TO EARN YOUR STRIPES.
For the Queen to take her throne, she needs to exhibit mastery, develop her vision, showcase her expertise, have a proven track record, and demonstrate her ability to delegate.
Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness.
I'm learning how to drown out the constant noise that is such an inseparable part of my life. I don't have to prove anything to anyone, I only have to follow my heart and concentrate on what I want to say to the world. I run my world.
FIND YOUR CHAMPIONS AND TREAT THEM LIKE GOLD.
As a Queen, your success is influenced by the quality of your team.
When hiring, look for people whose true passion is to be the right-hand-man or woman (not someone who secretly wants to be the star). When you find the right one/s, they’ll throw their weight behind you 100% and be instrumental in your success. So treat them like the golden unicorns they are.
Like moths to a flame...
The types of people who are organically drawn to you, as a queen, are looking to you for advice, stability and order. (though they still like being treated as equals!)
What this means for you:
Be encouraging and inspiring. Lead by example. Show your audience what’s possible by living it yourself.
Make your audience feel special. In many ways, they’re looking to you as a role model… they might even think of you as a bit of a ‘web celebrity’. (A ‘web-lebrity’?!) Be your usual generous self, allow your charm to shine through, and focus on genuine connection.
Don’t be afraid to go high end. A premium offering is perfect for the peeps in your community who are craving some luxe VIP treatment.
It’s okay to be yourself in everything you do, because the right people will find that irresistible. (And those that don’t probably aren’t a great fit for you anyway.)
KNOWING WHAT YOUR ARCHETYPE IS ALLOWS YOU TO UNDERSTAND HOW YOU’RE PERCEIVED BY OTHERS, HOW YOU CAN WORK WITH YOUR NATURAL TENDENCIES (NOT AGAINST THEM),
AND HOW YOU CAN CREATE ALIGNMENT BETWEEN YOUR INNER TRUTH AND YOUR OUTER WORK.
How to weave the Queen Archetype into your branding
WORDS THAT WILL TURN YOUR IDEAL CLIENTS ON INCLUDE:
LEADERSHIP ASPIRATION INSPIRATION HIGHER AIM GOAL OBJECTIVE SUCCESS INTENTION MASTERY EXPERT EMPIRE MOGUL ULTIMATE ULTRA ABUNDANCE PREMIUM LUXE PROSPERITY SYSTEMS ORDER RESPONSIBILITY QUEEN STAR REGAL PRESTIGE CHANGE EFFECT POWER DRIVE AMBITION POSSIBILITY POTENTIAL RISE VIP EMPRESS
Don’t be afraid to weave the above words into your About page, your Home page, your bio… anywhere where people are looking to find out more about you (and by extension, themselves).
Success, power and leadership are your (gooseberry) jam. And your community is craving those qualities from you.
So rather than seeking to follow trends, or imitating the looks you see online, take the time to delve within and figure out what genuinely resonates with you on a heart-and-gut level.
AS A QUEEN, YOU MIGHT FIND YOURSELF DRAWN TOWARDS LOOKS THAT UTILIZE:
(I.E. THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE)
A massive part of branding is how your customers feel whenever they interact with you – whether that’s through a random email, a visit to your website, or as a paying customer.
As a Queen, the people who are attracted to you want to feel special. They want a little of that Queen-ly magic for themselves. So do everything you can to make the customer experience feel as personalized and luxe as possible.
THIS COULD INCLUDE THINGS LIKE:
- Sending a small gift and handwritten note to your clients when you wrap up a project together – perhaps flowers, chocolate, or champagne.
- Consider sending out an extra little surprise on special occasions – for client birthdays, for Christmas… or just because.
- Personalise as many of your customer interactions as you can – use their name, take note of personal details, show that you care.
- When it comes to your marketing, make like a celebrity during a press conference. Give away small snippets of information at a time – hintat an upcoming launch, teaseabout your next project. It’s much more seductive than giving away the farm all at once, and your readers will be intrigued, engaged, and primed to know more.
So there you have it
YOU NOW KNOW:
What your True Brand Archetype is and why it’s so important to youronline presence.
Why you’re motivated by some things… and totally turned off by others.
How to amplify your natural strengths (and avoid the common pitfalls that keep so many Queens stuck).
And how to use your archetype to ignite your brand and attract your ideal customers – specifically through how your website looks, what you say on it, and how you make your customers feel.
