Like any good school library, Children’s Books Daily needed to give off a calming, accessible vibe, without crossing over into Boring territory.
We began with a background of cool blues, turquoise, and mustard yellow, and let Megan’s naturally colourful personality shine through her imagery.
Then, we added textured and illustrated backgrounds to complete the visual story.
As a librarian, Megan always has more than enough of two things: qualifications and resources. The challenge is to bring them all together in a clear, easy-to-read design that still manages to look just as enticing as the cover of your favourite picture book (The Very Hungry Caterpillar, anyone?).
We gave her qualifications their own section on the About page, along with plenty of space for her story.
The rest of the site is made up of pages dedicated to her blog entries, courses and webinars, and speaking engagements. Oh, and did we mention that all of her fabulous resources are free? You don't even need a library card (but it helps).
Megan’s membership site loves white space the way Megan loves words (hint: a lot) but there's no shortage of colour here! The playful icons and fonts make reading fun almost as much fun as hitting the Buy Now button. What a rush.
Both of Megan’s membership programs are set out in a similar way: simple and inviting…
And because you can never have too much content, we’ve added fold-down menus to keep the information neatly tucked away until it’s needed.
Nothing says "Megan Daley" quite like Dewey Decimal System-level organisation.
let’s get this show
on the road.
We'd love to chat with you about how we can create an online presence that you’re truly proud of, how we can help you make the impact you want to make, and what parts of your creative to-do list we can take off your plate.
