The very second we saw Cynthia’s request drop into our inbox we knew we wanted to work with her. ABBA quotes and a little acerbic humour will get us every time.

Cynthia is a VERY fancy English teacher who runs courses in all different areas of English – academic, business, social – and she offers courses to help people brush up their English skills.

We admire her. When you offer to teach a course in a language where the sentence ‘Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.’, is grammatically correct and actually means ‘Bison from Buffalo, New York, who are intimidated by other bison in their community, also happen to intimidate other bison in their community.’… you’re a very brave person.

Cynthia didn't have time to dilly dally around with the design brief.

She wanted something simple, easy to navigate and easy on the eye.

For an English teacher, the text was extremely important so we chose readable fonts that work with large passages of prose. A bold, primary palette of colours complete this no bullshit, let's get it done brief.

Not all of our clients need big fancy websites with all the bells and whistles and for those clients, we say BRAND LAB ESSENTIALS!!!

What is Brand Lab Essentials? It's like when you go to the hairdresser just to get a blow dry. It's been cut and styled a week ago and you did a deep conditioning treatment on it yesterday and you just need someone to give it a bit of a pick me up.

Cynthia needed a site that said 'I teach English - want to learn?' so that's what we did.

When you're a teacher, you need collateral. Printables, checklists, cheat sheets... all that jazz.

We put together a tight optin for Cynthia to use to help grow her email marketing list (and it doesn't look like she photocopied her teaching aide out of a library textbook from 1983).
